Surgery is the branch of medicine that involves cutting, abrading, suturing, or otherwise physically changing body tissues and organs. Various types of surgeries are performed in our hospital.

1. Appendicectomy

Surgery

An appendectomy is the surgical removal of the vermiform appendix. This procedure is normally performed when the patient is suffering from acute appendicitis.

Appendectomy may be performed laparoscopically (keyhole surgery) or as an open operation.

Both abdominal and laparoscopic appendectomy is done in the hospital

2. Cholecystectomy

Cholecystectomy is the surgical removal of the gallbladder. It is a common treatment of symptomatic gallstones (when gallstones cause pain and discomfort) and other gallbladder conditions. Surgical options include the standard procedure, called laparoscopic cholecystectomy, and an older, more invasive procedure, called open cholecystectomy.

Both open and laparoscopic surgeries of Cholecystectomy are done in the hospital

3. Circumcision

Male circumcision is the removal of the foreskin from the human penis. Topical or locally injected anesthesia is used to reduce pain and physiologic stress. It may be done as a treatment for certain medical conditions or for preventative reasons. It is done for the treatment of problematic cases of phimosis, balanoposthitis that does not resolve with other treatments, and chronic urinary tract infections (UTIs).

4. Fistula

A fistula is an abnormal connection between two hollow spaces, such as blood vessels, intestines, or other hollow organs. Fistulas are usually caused by injury or surgery, but they can also result from an infection or inflammation. Fistulas can develop in various parts of the body.

Both high and low fistulectomy surgeries are performed in the hospital

5. Fissurectomy

An anal fissure is a break or tears in the skin of the anal canal. Anal fissures may be noticed by bright red anal bleeding on toilet paper and undergarments, or sometimes in the toilet. If acute they may cause pain after defecation, but with chronic fissures, pain intensity is often less.

6. Sphincterotomy

Anal sphincterotomy is a surgical procedure that involves treating mucosal fissures from the anal canal/sphincter.

7. Haemorrhoidectomy (Including and Excluding Staples & Tackers)

A haemorrhoidectomy is an operation to remove haemorrhoids (piles). It’s usually carried out under general anaesthesia, which means you’ll be unconscious during the procedure and won’t feel any pain while it’s carried out.

Stapling, also known as stapled haemorrhoidopexy, is an alternative to a conventional haemorrhoidectomy. It’s sometimes used to treat prolapsed haemorrhoids and is carried out under general anaesthesia.

8. Hernia

A hernia is caused by the protrusion of a viscus (in the case of groin hernias) through a weakness in the containing wall. This weakness may be inherent, as in the case of inguinal, femoral and umbilical hernias.

Operations of a hernia are also performed in the hospital. Both open and laparoscopic operations are done for a hernia in the hospital.

All kinds of hernia repair like Femoral/Inguinal – Unilateral and Bilateral, Incisional Hernia, Umbilical Hernia including Mesh Repair are done in our hospital.

Other procedures done are-:

  • Perianal Abscess
  • Pilonidal Sinus
  • Radical Mastectomy Modified
  • Simple Mastectomy
  • Breast Lumpectomy
  • Thyroidectomy -Hemi and Total.
